Find Out More Requirement #1
You must be a native of a qualifying country.
In order to submit an application for the DV Lottery Program, you must be native of a country with a low immigration to the U.S.A. For this reason, persons from certain countries are excluded from the opportunity. Please find out if your country of birth is eligible or take our free eligibility test to find out!
Requirement #2
You must have sufficient education or work experience.
In order to have your application accepted into the lottery program, the U.S. government requires you to have completed 1 of the following 2 options.
  1. Education:  You must have completed a foreign equivalent of U.S. high school education. The equivalent of High School is the completion of a twelve year course of elementary and secondary. *Note: Simply passing an examination is not sufficient to prove that you have been through a complete, formal education process.

  2. Work Experience:  If you do not fulfill the education requirement, then you must be able to prove work experience. The U.S. Government requires 2 years of work experience in a field that requires training for job performance.
Important Information!
Please note that even if you are technically eligible for participation in the U.S. DV Lottery, there is a 1 in 3 chance that you will be eliminated because of mistakes made on your application. Thousands of applicants each year are needlessly rejected simply because they failed to complete the form properly. AVOID THIS MISTAKE! Let us help you fill out the official application completely and correctly and get it in on time.
